Frequently Asked Questions
How are Cape Cloth items so soft? We use special fabric blends combined with wash and dye techniques to create a worn-in garment that will hold its softness for its entire lifecycle if cared for properly.
How do Cape Cloth clothes fit? Sizing is unique, so please refer to the sizing charts on the individual product pages. If you ever get an item that doesn't fit you perfectly, we will exchange it as many times as it takes until you're satisfied. All our Hats that Give Back are adjustable, one size fits all. The structure of the hat (low, medium, high/full) and crown is described on each product's page as well. We're still working on kids fit items. It seems all of them are different and constantly changing.
Does Cape Cloth ever go on sale? We do have sales occasionally. Usually, the sales do not last long so make sure you are registered to receive our newsletter by signing up on the homepage. Otherwise you might miss out. Please note that items purchased on sale cannot be returned for a refund and unless otherwise stated are not eligible for an exchange.
How do you ship? We ship products via the US Postal Service. Customers will receive email confirmations of their order as well as detailed tracking information when the package ships. Most orders are processed within one business day and arrive within three business days. Orders placed on Cape Cod usually arrive in less than three business days.
Can I Return or Exchange an item? Absolutely! Exchanges must be postmarked within 30 days of receipt, and Returns for the purchase prices of goods must be postmarked within 7 days of item delivery. Please note that items purchased on sale cannot be returned for a refund and unless otherwise stated are not eligible for an exchange. All items must be sent back unworn and unwashed with tags still attached and proof of receipt. All custom printed orders are final sale and not returnable. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay for the incoming shipping of a Return or Exchange, Cape Cloth will cover the cost of the outgoing shipping on an Exchange.
Can I Return or Exchange items bought online in a store or vice-versa? Purchase concerns should be taken up with the location of said purchase.
What is considered damaged? Very rarely a damaged item will slip through our quality control and we apologize if you do receive a damaged garment. Damaged garments could include broken zippers, dye/ink stains, etc. It is important to understand that Cape Cloth garments are made to look vintage and broken-in. If you do feel that you have received a damaged item, please contact us within 7 days in order to receive a full refund.
